Competition Day 2 - All gliders are back to Hahnweide

Despite challenging weather conditions and low flying altitudes, the pilots in today’s classes once again gave their all during their flights. As well as scoring points, they brought back some stunning in-flight photos. Thank you for the wonderful views, pilots!


Competition Day 2 - Double Seater and 18m Classes launched

Once again, there was a very relaxed atmosphere in the grid today. The pilots and teams in the 20m double seater and 18m classes are now on their way flying their tasks. We wish them safe and successful flights! 

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our tireless tow pilots from near and far.

The briefing for today's competition day has just finished. 18m and 20m two-seater classes are going to fly. Launch is scheduled for 12:30 pm.

Good morning! The second day of the competition begins at 08:30 am with gridding on RWY12. 18m class is in front, followed by 20m double seater class. We’ll meet for briefing at 10:00 am.

The sun is setting, and after a busy afternoon, some pilots are now enjoying the pleasure of flying at a leisurely pace in vintage aircraft. We wish everyone a relaxing evening and look forward to tomorrow!

Bert Schmelzer, today's fastest pilot in the 18-metre class, will have the chance this evening to experience the polar opposite of speed as he takes to the skies in the Gö-1 Wolf vintage aircraft from the Hahnweide Flying Museum.
